Serengeti National Parks

Savanna Solutions’ Serengeti National Park Safari Tours
Embark on an Epic Show of Land and Wildlife

The Serengeti National Park is a stunning showcase of Africa’s natural beauty, and Savanna Solutions is ready to take you there. Our vast rolling savannahs seem to stretch out past the horizon, while the immense herds of wildebeests, marching by the millions in their great migration, amaze visitors.

Savanna Solutions offers you the chance to experience Africa’s most epic wildlife encounter with over 3,000 lions – more than any other park on earth – and over two million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles parading the ancient cycles of nature. The rivers here are filled with crocodiles and hippos, while overhead 500 species of birdlife take wing.

Our Serengeti tours offer you the opportunity to spot all of the “Big Five,” including buffalo (53,000) and black rhino. And the Serengeti’s forests are home to several species of baboons and monkeys.

The park has been named one of the “Seven Natural Wonders of Africa” and one of the “Ten Natural Travel Wonders of the World.” It has also been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. But it is perhaps the name “Serengeti,” from the Maasai phrase “siringet” or “endless plains,” that best describes the feeling of awe as one takes in Tanzania’s oldest and most popular park.

Savanna Solutions offers tours to all three eco-regions of the Serengeti. The Serengeti plains are the great treeless expanses of grassland in the south where the wildebeest breed from roughly December to May. The Western Corridor is mostly known for the Grumeti River and its surrounding forests, where crocodiles, monkeys, hippos, and eagles dwell. The Northern Serengeti, primarily open woodlands and hills, is a good environment to spot elephant and giraffe.

The vast Serengeti ecosystem is one of the planet’s oldest, and its vegetation and wildlife are little different than they appeared a million years ago. Early man inhabited the nearby Olduvai Gorge about 2 million years ago, and signs of early tool making and other artifacts have been found here.

Savanna Solutions offers a variety of accommodations, ranging from basic campsites to top-end luxury lodges and even mobile camps that follow the migration. Our tours allow you to witness the Great Migration, without a doubt the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth. The sight of innumerable wildebeests and zebras marching in columns 40 km (25 mi) long is unforgettable. You can also witness the early life cycle of the wildebeests in February when more than 8,000 wildebeest calves are born every day.

Visit the kopjes, large rock formations that punctuate the Serengeti plains like so many islands. Vegetation sprouts from them, and they offer shade, water, and a vantage point for the predators. Some of the kopjes are decorated with African rock paintings created by Maasai cattle herders.

For an unusual but exciting way to view this marvelous landscape and its millions of wild inhabitants, nothing beats a hot air balloon ride at dawn. You can watch the sunrise light up the savannah and view the animals as they emerge into the new day.

Savanna Solutions’ Serengeti tours offer something for everyone, and we recommend a 3 or 4-day safari to see and do everything that the Serengeti has to offer. Let us take you on an unforgettable adventure through Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park.

Ngorongoro National Park

Experience an incredible adventure with Savanna Solutions Company and visit the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, an extinct volcano that is now a habitat for a wide range of wildlife. This area is renowned for being the best place to see all the “Big Five” and home to the densest concentration of predators in Africa, as well as giant elephants and flamingos. The 264 sq. km (101 sq. mi) crater is a natural wonder and a World Heritage Site. Savanna Solutions Company invites you to descend into this extraordinary Eden, where you can explore different habitats and encounter a variety of animals, such as baboons, vervet monkeys, hippos, and the elusive leopard. The birdlife is also profuse and varied, including avocet, egret, ostrich, wallow, grebe, firefinch, and starling. There are beautiful picnic areas on the crater floor, like Ngoitoktok Springs, where you can enjoy the hippos by the water. You can also visit Masai Villages at the crater rim, meet the villagers, and learn about their culture and history. Join Savanna Solutions Company on a vehicle game drive to explore one of the most unique habitats in the world and experience this unforgettable display of nature’s grandeur and beauty.
