Masai Mara

The Masai Mara, part of the Mau-Mara-Serengeti ecosystem, is a natural wonder and one of Africa’s greatest savannahs. It is renowned for its abundant wildlife and hosts the highest concentration of wild animals per square kilometer in the region.

Savanna Solutions Safari Company offers various drive-in and fly-in safari tour excursions to the Masai Mara National Reserve, providing unparalleled game viewing opportunities. The annual migration of wildebeest, zebra, and Thomson’s gazelle, as well as sightings of leopards, lions, and cheetahs, make for an exceptional and unforgettable experience.

The Maasai people, who live in harmony with nature and wildlife, are the custodians of the East African savannahs and are associated with grassroots wildlife conservation. The Mara Naboisho Conservancy has the largest concentration of lions in the world, and the Masai Mara has many lion, cheetah, and leopard sightings, making for exciting game viewing.

The best time to visit is during the dry season from July to October, but the mild and pleasant climate year-round makes it a perfect destination any time of the year.

Amboseli National Park

Discover the majestic elephants of Amboseli on one of Savanna Solutions Safari Company’s top 5 Amboseli safari tour packages, which include off-road 4×4 jeep safaris or fly-in options.

At Amboseli National Park, protected from poachers, hundreds of elephants gather at predictable watering holes with their massive tusks on display. Amboseli is renowned as the best place in Africa to get up close to free-ranging elephants, with guaranteed sightings thanks to their robust population.

As the second most popular park in Kenya, after the Masai Mara, Amboseli is a photographer’s paradise, with snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro as a stunning backdrop for capturing magnificent shots of elephants in the wild.

However, elephants are not the only attraction in the park. Amboseli offers diverse wildlife, including wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, gazelle, cheetahs, lions, and smaller mammals like hyenas, foxes, jackals, vervet monkeys, and yellow baboons. Birdwatchers can also spot pelicans, kingfishers, crakes, egrets, the Madagascar heron, and various raptors.

The park’s vast horizons encompass five wildlife environments, providing diverse flora and fauna, from wetlands, savannahs, woodlands, thorn-bushes, to the dry lakebed of Lake Amboseli.

The Maasai people, with their authentic and ancient African culture, can be found in villages around the park, offering visitors a unique experience.

On Savanna Solutions Safari Company’s drive-in and road safari packages, private 4×4 Land Cruiser Jeeps with higher seating and rugged all-wheel drive are included for game viewing transportation, ensuring your comfort and safety while exploring Amboseli National Park.
